Gearing up for end game content in Mists of Pandaria is the same as in any other previous World of Warcraft expansion. You reach level cap, grind dungeons for loot and faction reputation, you max out professions for perks and then hit the raids. Mist of Pandaria is no different.

However, Mists of Pandaria does introduce some changes. You will need to grind faction status before you are able purchase gear with Valor Points. Furthermore, Valor Points are no longer limited to purchasing gear, but can also be spent on upgrades on gear you already own. Some of the best pre-raid gear is available from quest that unlock when you reach exalted status with different factions. While maintaining much of the old way of gearing up, Mists of Pandaria does add a flavor or two to the mix.
